Not only is it the highest skiable area in Europe, it is also at the top of the largest ski area in the world – Les Trois Vallees boasting a monumental 600km of linked pistes to take on.
Best Restaurant
A traditional Alpine restaurant with an original look located just down the road from Val Thorens, visit this restaurant for an exceptional and unique experience. With local specialties such as Raclette, tartiflette and fondue you can expect high quality Savoyarde meals. For those of you not looking to indulge in a cheese feast, they also offer grills and original desserts which will make you want to come back year in year out.
Best Cheap Eat
Wok ski is an Asian fusion restaurant that brings healthy, affordable cuisine to the pistes of Val Thorens. The perfect grab and go snack to warm you up on your day skiing. Situated within the Chalet du Thorens where bar 360 is located along with many other fine restaurants.
Located on the terrace outside the Chalets du Thorens, just above the entrance of the Moraine and Portette chairlifts. A bar on the ski slopes that transports you to a tropical environment. Soak in the sun and the easy tunes while relaxing on the terrace. From 2:30pm the music is slowly turned up and before long you will be dancing on the tables.
Crowds gather from 2.30pm on the panoramic terrace of Folie Douce. DJ’s, Live music and dance performances all start kicking off. The line-up invites an eclectic mix of people who are there to enjoy the mountains, good music and partying. Almost of a fantasy world, with an overdose of craziness to end your day with a sparkle in your eyes.
If you’re looking for something a little different, then Red fox is a popular spot for afternoon karaoke and live music, located at the top of the village it is an ideal spot to stop in on your way home from the hill.

*Transfers run throughout Saturday and Sunday (for Sundays there is a £5.50 pp/per journey supplement). These are shuttle transfers and in some cases you will be required to wait at the airport. The last transfer from Geneva is approximately 21:40pm, we recommend not landing after 19:20pm.
