Why visit Avoriaz

Avoriaz is the epitome of a post card worthy winter wonderland with some of the best panoramic views in the alps! This tree laden resort is nestled in the heart of the huge Portes Du Soleil ski area and boasts a multitude of terrain guaranteed to satisfy every level of rider.

Avoriaz is also home to the ‘Uber of the Alps’ – being a completely pedestrianised resort can sometimes be a bit weary on the legs, but the Horse Taxis of Avoriaz are there to transport you at a moment’s notice.

With six snowparks to choose from Avoriaz is great for freestyle skiers looking to improve their skills. Le Stash Snow Park is the first giant ecological snow park in Europe. Ideal for both experienced freeride and freestyle skiers and families alike it’s a snow playground not to be missed.

Unique without wheels, have your go at ski joering, travel along on skis whilst being pulled by a horse through stunning mountain countryside offering beautiful views.

With an average of 8 meters of snow every winter and at high altitude you are guaranteed snow cover throughout the season.

If you are an avid cross-country skier then Avoriaz is the resort for you, with an enormous 29.5km of cross-country ski trail spread over 8 loops.
