Morzine, which is in the neighbouring valley to Avoriaz is part of the Portes du Soleil ski area. The resorts are linked by lifts and cable cars giving skiers and snowboarders access to facilities and runs in both.
The resort is suitable for all abilities, whether you are an expert or a new starter. With access to the entire ski area you can head to slopes at higher altitude which get the best snow coverage. The Portes du Soleil totals an incredible 650km of ski-able terrain, take a look at the following stats for a full run breakdown.
Laden with trees amidst forest, Morzine offers gorgeous treelined runs and a lovely Alpine town situated in the valley. With two parallel roads running the length of the resort getting around by car or on foot is nice and easy, roads are well kept and there are buses which run between Morzine and Avoriaz.
If you are looking to add a little class to your trip, then look no further than L’Atelier. Indulge in a fantastic meal cooked by a Michelin star chef. We can guarantee your taste buds will be thrilled from the moment you taste your first amuse-bouche.
Located in the village and popular amongst chalet hosts, get fresh fast food to stay or to go from Mamas. Mamas offer fantastic value for money, get your meal from just $7 whether you are craving a pizza or a Thai curry, it is not one to miss.
Bar Robinson is home of Mutzig beer! Originally brewed in 1810 its taste has been perfected over the centuries since then. One of the oldest bars in Morzine, the bar tenders will water you with favoured Mutzig so we advise you to approach with caution!
We also recommend that you try out the local microbrewery, Bec Jaune, situated on the outskirts of the village brewing its very own craft beer along with producing its entire menu on site. Try out their home-made succulent pork scratching, delicious scotch eggs and more. You can’t go wrong grabbing a beer and a bite to eat here, it’s one of our favourite spots in the village!
*Transfers run throughout Saturday and Sunday (for Sundays there is a £5.50 pp/per journey supplement). These are shuttle transfers and, in some cases, you will be required to wait at the airport. The last transfer from Geneva is for flights arriving into the airport at 21:30 at the latest, we recommend not landing after 20:00.
We recommend not booking any flight which takes off before 06:30am as the earliest flight arrivals we can meet are 08.50 (anyone arriving on a flight before that, of which there are few, would need to wait until this time). Transfers are available from 05.30 (first pick up in resort) to 21.30 (latest flight arrival).
Transfer times are subject to change and availability. As such we do not publish a timetable. If you are concerned please feel free to call the office on 0208 246 6677 (ext: 2) for more advice. *
