Avoriaz is the epitome of a post card worthy winter wonderland with some of the best panoramic views in the alps! This tree laden resort is nestled in the heart of the huge Portes Du Soleil ski area and boasts a multitude of terrain guaranteed to satisfy every level of rider.
Avoriaz is also home to the ‘Uber of the Alps’ – being a completely pedestrianised resort can sometimes be a bit weary on the legs, but the Horse Taxis of Avoriaz are there to transport you at a moment’s notice.
Here at WhiteRoad we recommend La Reserve restaurant. Located in the heart of Avoriaz’s village La Reserve serves traditional French food. These gourmet dishes are presented beautifully and taste delicious. With live music frequently being played the atmosphere is fantastic. It is a great place to wind down with a large glass of wine in a cosy alpine setting.
For mouth-watering burgers head to Changabang, located just above the Prodains gondola the food is simple but delicious. With outdoor seating you can work on that google tan line you are aiming for. Alternatively, new to the scene is Piz’Burg, located in the village just opposite the ice rink you can get a burger, chips and a drink all under 13 €!

*Transfers run throughout Saturday and Sunday (for Sundays there is a £5.50 pp/per journey supplement). These are shuttle transfers and, in some cases, you will be required to wait at the airport. The last transfer from Geneva is for flights arriving into the airport at 21:30 ath the latest, we recommend not landing after 20:00.
We recommend not booking any flight which takes off before 06:30am as the earliest flight arrivals we can meet are 08.50 (anyone arriving on a flight before that, of which there are few, would need to wait until this time).Transfers are available from 05.30 (first pick up in resort) to 21.30 (latest flight arrival).
Transfer times are subject to change and availability. As such we do not publish a timetable. If you are concerned please feel free to call the office on 0208 246 6677 (ext: 2) for more advice. *
